Lochside is located on the edge of Loch Culag, just outside the village of Lochinver, in the North West Highlands of Scotland. It has a remote feeling, with nothing to the East accept for the wilderness of Assynt. Adjacent to the house lies Culag Wood. Walking through the woods takes you on many beautiful paths that lead to rocky coves, a pebble beach and a scenic viewpoint. Lochinver with its local shops and amenities is a mile to the North. The beautiful sandy beaches at Achmelvich are a short drive away. To the South lies Inverkirkaig and the path to the Kirkaig Falls and beyond the road to Achiltibuie.

Lochinver is about 2 hours drive from Inverness.

From Inverness follow signs for Ullapool on the A835. Once at Ullapool continue along the A835 until it meets with the A837 at the Ledmore junction. Here turn left following the signs for Lochinver all the way. Once at Lochinver continue through and out of the village on the coastal road sign posted to Strathan, past the school, over the cattle grid and Lochside is the first house you come to on your left

Inverness has good rail (including an overnight sleeper), air and road links with the rest of the UK. Inverness airport has several direct daily flights from London. Hire cars are available at both Inverness and Inverness airport.
